Britney took a shower, brushed her teeth and hair, and reluctantly took off the shirt. When she got back to her room, she took the diary out of her secret hiding place (underneath her pillow), and she started her entry. She wrote how she slept over at Justin's, how he almost kissed her, how they held hands, and, most importantly, how they had slept together. Wow, this is becoming all about Justin. Britney shrugged, closed her diary, turned out the light, and went to sleep.
The next few days were a blur for Britney. She went between filming to conversations with Christina about why Justin seemed to be ignoring her. Yes, sadly, Justin didn't seem to want to be around Britney anymore. He walked by her without saying hi, if she asked him a question he would give short answers and sometimes even walk away. He was getting new friends and he seemed to have forgotten all about the little girl with a Southern accent and a rather shy disposition. Britney was, well, upset. She seemed to have gotten such mixed signals from this boy, and it was really making her head hurt. So, naturally, when Christina's birthday party rolled along, Britney wasn't too set on being polite.
Britney was in her room getting ready when her mom called her down. "Coming!" yelled Britney, running down the stairs. Christina was at the front door talking to Britney's mom.
"Hi, Chrissy!" exclaimed Britney. Christina was wearing a black skirt and a purple t-shirt.
"Hey, Brit," Christina said.
"Ok, I guess you two better get going. Britney, you be good, ok?" Lynne said.
"Of course, mama! Bye, I love you!" Britney replied, being dragged out the door be Christina. "Bye! I love you too!" Lynne said.
"So, are you excited to see Justin?" Christina asked. "No." Britney replied truthfully.” "Why?!" Christina exclaimed.
"Why would I be excited to see someone who has been ignoring me all week?" Britney replied. "Good point." Christina said, getting in the back seat of the car with Britney.
